Indiana turns 202 years old
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indiana turned 202 years old Tuesday.
A Statehood Day celebration was Tuesday afternoon at the Statehouse.
On Dec. 11, 1816, President James Madison signed a congressional resolution admitting Indiana to the union as the 19th state.
Students from across the state attended Tuesday’s celebration, and Gov. Eric Holcomb spoke with them. Watch the video to learn what he had to say.
