CARMEL, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — Carmel-based Redux has announced a partnership with a major hearing care brand. The company, which has developed technology to clean and remove moisture from electronic devices, says the deal with Signia will help hearing aid users keep their hearing aids functional longer.

Redux initially developed its technology for devices such as mobile phones and tablets. The company says its system creates a vacuum to lower the evaporation point of water and remove all moisture from both traditionally-powered and rechargeable hearing aids.

As part of the partnership, the Redux system will be made available to hearing care professionals through Signia’s Aspire Rewards Program.

“The national recognition from such a reputable hearing aid manufacturer further validates our proven solution to one of the most common issues patients have with hearing aids,” Reuben Zielinski, co-founder of Redux. “We’re proud to work with Signia’s Aspire partners and their patients who are struggling with moisture issues in their hearing aids.”

Redux says hearing care professionals have reported 98% of all hearing aids treated using its drying system saw moisture removed, while 77% reported immediate improved performance.

The company already has a presence in thousands of mobile phone retail stores across the country.

Zielinski appeared on The INnovators with Dr. K in December and said the market for hearable technology was growing. He said hearables could be a $100 million a year business within the next 3-5 years.
