Fishers awards small business loans
FISHERS, Ind. (Inside INdiana Business) — The city of Fishers has awarded over $500,000 in low-interest loans to small businesses through its Build Fishers Foundation.
A loan committee considered several factors in awarding the loans, which were considered for businesses that employ 25 full-time employees or less. Factors include: being designated as non-essential under Governor Holcomb’s stay-at-home order, unable to adopt a business model to sustain existing revenue during the pandemic, essential businesses that had to furlough or lay off 50% of its workforce as a result of the pandemic, and they must be able to show a direct correlation of their business disruption due to COVID-19.
The committee presented their approvals during a meeting last week and approved 73 loans. Approved small businesses:

Businesses will receive up to a six-month no-interest deferment upon receiving funding. Businesses will have the opportunity to repay the loan at 1% interest for 36 months, after the deferral time. Click here for more information.
