INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) – One of the most popular charity events in Indianapolis will not take place this year. Rev Indy, which usually kicks off the month of May at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway but was postponed to August, has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The organization says, “We’ll miss Rev this year, we look forward to celebrating Rev 2021 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway next year!”

Our team at IU Health remains committed to supporting Indiana’s response to COVID-19 and we will continue to work tirelessly to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of Hoosiers.

Organizers say Rev brings together food, fun and a night of celebration to kick off the racing season. Funds raised through the event support IU Health Foundation statewide trauma and critical care programs.

Due to Rev 2020’s cancellation, organizers say some of the proceeds of Rev 2020 sponsorships and tickets are going toward the Racial Equity in Healthcare Fund.
