Shumsky Therapeutic Pillows bought by ASP Global

ATLANTA, Ga. (Inside INdiana Business) — Shumsky Therapeutic Pillows, who has a manufacturing presence in Richmond, has been acquired by privately-held Atlanta-based ASP Global. Shumsky will continue to be based in Dayton, Ohio and will keep its Richmond facility.

Adam Abraham, an area vice president with ASP Global, was recently named as general manager of Shumsky Therapeutic Pillows by ASP. “I am happy to have the opportunity to contribute my experience to this leading organization,” said Abraham. “Shumsky is an innovator that is respected across the healthcare industry and working with them is a privilege.”

ASP Global Chief Commercial Officer William Fallon says it was the right time for the acquisition.

“Designing, manufacturing and distributing medical products directly here in the US has always been important. With the sourcing difficulties for healthcare systems over the last months due to COVID-19, the value of having manufacturing capacity onshore in America is even more apparent,” said Fallon.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
