NEXT says it will the first venture studio located at the $500 million development in downtown Indy. The studio says it will also have a presence at the 1776 incubator space on the campus.

“As Indiana’s newest and most exciting technology center, it’s natural that Indiana’s newest venture studio would choose to call 16 Tech home,” John McDonald, managing entrepreneur of NEXT Studios, said in a news release. “We look forward to partnering with 16 Tech and 1776 in creating programs and experiences for our corporate innovation partners and portfolio startup companies alike to meet, make and innovate.”

NEXT Studios was founded by McDonald and three other Hoosier entrepreneurs to help other entrepreneurs get their ideas off the ground. The studio says its goal is to help entrepreneurs avoid common problems and get their innovations to market more quickly.
