Intruder swipes man’s wedding ring

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Nelson Molina and his family just moved into their new home near Rural and Brookside. Move in day was two years in the making. The family purchased the house but it needed a makeover.

During a two year span, the Molinas replaced the roof, the floors, and repaired the walls.

The house became livable this fall and the Molina’s moved in; however, one week into their new home they were visited by an intruder.  According to the family, the suspect kicked in a door when no one was home. As the unknown man went room to room, Nelson Molina walked inside

“The man grabbed him by the neck, and threw him on the ground and he put his foot on his chest,” said Rania Molina, who is a translator for her father Nelson.

The suspect swiped Nelson’s wedding ring, and his daughter’s laptop, and ran out the door.

Despite the robbery, the Molinas have no plans to leave their new home.

“Thank you to God, nothing happened,” said Molina.

Police only have a vague description of the suspect, if you have any information call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS, or 262-8477.
