ISDH: 1,249 new COVID-19 cases; one additional death
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Saturday, the Indiana State Department of Health announced 1,249 new COVID-19 cases and one additional deaths.
The new COVID-19 cases are from between Aug. 27 and Sept. 12 while the newly reported death is from Sept. 11.
In total, there are 105,804 COVID-19 cases and 3,214 deaths related to the virus in Indiana. Another 224 “probable” deaths have occurred, but the state does not have a positive test on record for those.
State officials say 53,465 new tests have now been received. Of those, 32,384 were new individuals. The new tests were administered between March 3 and Sept. 12.
According to ISDH, there have been 1,720,326 tests administered in the state.
The state’s 7-day rate of positivity for unique individuals stands at 6.9%.
According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 28,807,000 confirmed cases worldwide, with more than 19,493,000 recoveries and more than 920,000 deaths.
