LEBANON, Ind. (WISH) — A Lebanon man was charged by a grand jury Wednesday for sexually exploiting a minor.

Douglas Gibson, 38, was indicted on charges of 2 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, one count of sexual exploitation of a minor by a registered sex offender, distribution of child sexual abuse material, and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Boone County police received a cyber tip alerting them to an online account that had been sharing child sexual abuse material. Police found Gibson to be the owner of the account.

Police detained Gibson in September 2022 and served search warrants on Gibson’s home and vehicle. Investigators found many files containing child sexual abuse material created by Gibson and distributed to others.
