1 dead, 1 hospitalized after northeast side crash
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person is dead and another is hospitalized after a crash on the city’s east side on Sunday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.
Police responded to the 9500 block of East 42nd Street just after 6:30 p.m. on reports of a crash.
According to IMPD, one person died as a result of their injuries. Another was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office had identified the person killed as 15-year-old Taujenese Bell. The cause of death is listed as multiple blunt force traumatic injuries due to a motor vehicle collision/accident.
No additional information was provided. The investigation is ongoing.
