‘Bleed Blue’ Blood Drive returns to Lucas Oil Stadium

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH)– The Versiti Blood Center of Indiana and the Indianapolis Colts partnered up to bring the Bleed Blue Blood Drive back to Lucas Oil stadium. For 21 years, it’s been one of the blood center’s largest donation events. It’s an effort they say has saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

This year, Colts fans get a free football with the picture and signature of cornerback Kenny Moore II.

Watch this FACEBOOK LIVE to hear from Dr. Dan Waxman, Versiti’s Senior Medical Director, on how donors are even more critical because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Versiti will also be accepting COVID-19 convalescent plasma donations and conducting antibody testing during the Bleed Blue drive.

If you miss the event at the stadium, you can still donate Monday, Dec. 14 and still get a Colts football. Click here for more information on how to donate.
