INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Health experts predict a rise in coronavirus-related mental health issues among the lay public. But health care workers are equally susceptible to poorer mental health during the outbreak. 

On Friday, WISH-TV’s medical reporter, Dr. Mary Gillis, D.Ed., was on Midday to talk about these medical professionals, the danger they put themselves in day in and day out and the social isolation precautions they take so as to not put their families at risk. 

Gillis also talked about the future, potential implications regarding the work these medical professionals are doing now and how it could lead to post-traumatic stress disorder.
