Coroner IDs 80-year-old man killed at FedEx facility

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Marion County Coroner’s Office has identified a worker killed in an accident at the FedEx facility at Indianapolis International Airport.

MCCO said the man killed last week is 80-year-old Coy Kidd. Kidd was killed Thursday night.

Kidd died of multiple blunt force traumatic injuries, according to the coroner’s office. His death has been ruled an accident.

The Indiana Department of Labor is expected to prepare a report on its investigation, which would be made available to the public in about a month. 

FedEx issued this statement on Friday:

No words can convey the grief we all feel over the loss our team member, and our prayers and deepest condolences are extended to his family. We are cooperating with authorities investigating the accident.
