Illuminate 3.9K walk raising funds for suicide prevention
CAMBY, Ind. (WISH) — More than 100 people will walk 3.9 kilometers on Oct. 23 at The Links at Heartland Crossing to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The walk’s distance is an acknowledgement of the 3,900 people who die by suicide every month.
Illuminate 2021 organizers Kari Mann and Sherrie Harris joined Daybreak on Saturday to talk about the walk and what they hope to accomplish with it.
