Noblesville students back to school after shooting threat

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – Noblesville High School students will go back to school Monday morning after a threat of a school shooting was discovered Friday.

The threat was found around 11 a.m. on Friday in a bathroom stall at the school. The threat contained derogatory, racial statements and referred to a school shooting scheduled for Monday.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested not long after the threat was found. The process to expel him started on Friday.

The Noblesville Diversity Coalition invited the community out on Saturday to have conversations about what happened at school Friday. They said that Noblesville will not tolerate racism, hatred or violence toward others.

School officials said there will be an increased police presence on campus Monday and breakout sessions are planned throughout the day to discuss race and diversity.
