‘Rona Relief’ fund helps businesses, workers in Broad Ripple

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A coronavirus relief fund called “Rona Relief” is helping out businesses and restaurants in Broad Ripple.

The fund has raised $15,000 with all donation money going to small businesses. Half of the money goes to buying gift cards to give businesses immediate cash flow. The other half will be given as $100 gifts to employees.

“Small business owners are creative, they are innovative, adaptive and survivors,” said Colleen Fanning with the Broad Ripple Village Association. “They certainly need your help but don’t count anybody out yet. This is just going to make good businesses great and it’s really our job to try and boost those who are struggling and we can do it if we all focus and work together.”

Eleven companies kicked off the relief fund, giving $1,000 each, and donations are pouring in.
