Thousands to pass through Indy airport over Thanksgiving holiday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Thanksgiving holiday is one of the busiest travel weekends of the entire year.

Mario Rodriguez, the executive director of the Indianapolis International Airport, says the facility expects between 14,000 and 16,000 people per day.

Those traveling through Indianapolis International Airport are being advised to arrive two hours prior to their flight’s scheduled departure time.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday are expected to be the busiest travel days, according to the airport.

In all, the airport expects to screen more than 90,000 passengers over the next week.
