Man sentenced for raping woman with autism

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — A Frankton man has been sentenced for raping a woman with autism.

George Eltzroth was sentenced on Tuesday for four felony counts after one count of rape and one count of deviant conduct were dismissed. The four sentences will run concurrent.

Eltzroth had been charged with three felony counts each for rape and deviant conduct before reaching a plea agreement. The charges stated that the victim was so mentally disabled that consent cannot be given.

Eltzroth will serve eight years in the Indiana Department of Corrections with an additional seven years suspended.

Additionally, a no contact order has been issued.

Eltzroth was originally arrested and charged in March of 2014.
