Man sentenced to 6 years in prison for deadly road rage crash

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Daniel Cannon has been sentenced to six years in prison for the road rage incident that led to the deaths of two Ben Davis students in 2017.

Cannon was convicted in November 2018 of multiple counts of criminal recklessness and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.

His conviction was the result of his involvement in the deadly crash.

Brandon Gross, 18, and Taylor Parsons, 17, were killed in the April, 18, 2017, crash that happened on I-70 near the Harding Street exit.

Witnesses of the crash said they saw two vehicles involved in a high-speed chase. Investigators learned the chase stemmed from a confrontation between Cannon and the people in the other vehicle that started at a nearby park.
