Minimal rain chances to close out the work week with heat set to return for Labor Day

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Good Thursday morning, everyone! After a soggy day yesterday in a few areas, we’ve dried out this morning and we’re on our way to a nice end to the work week.

Temperatures will sink into the upper 50s and low 60s for the Thursday morning drive, so enjoy the free A/C!

With plenty of sunshine this afternoon, high temperatures will quickly climb into the upper 70s and low 80s across the state.

While our morning will be a bit cloudy, the sky will clear a bit by this afternoon and this evening.

Under a mostly clear sky, temperatures will drop into the upper 60s by midnight.

We’ll see a similar start to our Friday, only more clear skies early on.

By lunchtime Friday, clouds will quickly build back in.

The rain threat tomorrow will mostly be late tomorrow afternoon and evening and mostly well south of the I-70 corridor.

We can’t rule out a storm threat here in the metro, but most areas should be dry for high school football this week.

Our next best chance for storms will return Sunday, but they will be scattered at best.

High temps will climb throughout the upcoming Labor Day Weekend.

While it looks like a lot of rain on the 8-Day Forecast, most of the chances will be isolated at best. The best chances for wet and or stormy weather will be Sunday and Thursday of next week.
