No injuries after van backs into bank on city’s east side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A van backed into a bank on the city’s east side Thursday afternoon.
It happened just before 2:30 p.m. at the Chase Bank near the intersection of Mitthoeffer Road and East Washington Street.
The bank was closed after the crash while authorities investigated.
Indianapolis Fire Department Battalion Chief Rita Reith said the driver backed into the bank. Pictures from the scene show the van caused damage to a portion of windows and the building.
No one was injured in the incident.
