Police chase with stolen car ends on north side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Police in Indianapolis took a man into custody Thursday morning after a chase though the city’s north side.
It started around 10 a.m. Police say it began as a traffic stop and turned into a pursuit of a stolen vehicle.
The chase lasted for several minutes before the suspect vehicle pulled over. Officers took the driver into custody near 52nd Street and Winthrop Avenue.
Chopper 8 flew over the scene where the man was in handcuffs and the vehicle was being loaded onto a tow truck.
