Quiet Saturday with snow for some areas possible Sunday

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Cooler than normal temperatures continue for the weekend.

Today:

Quiet and cool across the area. Expect sunny skies with highs in the lower 40s Saturday afternoon.

Tonight:

Clouds will be on the increase ahead of a quick-hitting clipper system moving in for Sunday morning. Overnight lows fall to the upper 20s and lower 30s.

Sunday:

Previously mentioned clipper moves in from the northwest. We’ll see snow showers moving in before daybreak, especially for our northern counties in central Indiana.

This quick-hitting system shouldn’t amount to much, but a quick inch of accumulation in a few areas might be possible north of Indianapolis.

Snow showers will wind down by mid to late morning. We’re left with mostly cloudy conditions, with highs in the middle 40s by the afternoon.

8 day forecast:

An overall quiet forecast shaking out for the work week. Still cool for Monday, with highs in the middle 40s. We’ll rebound to the lower 50s for Tuesday and Wednesday.

A quick system should bring us our only rain chance of the week on Wednesday afternoon. The rest of the week is quiet and warmer, with highs in the middle 50s through Friday, and into the 60s by next weekend.
