Showers to return this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Friday evening will be nice.

Temperatures will fall into the 60s as clouds slowly increase around the area.

It’s going to be breezy Friday night with winds out of the east from 10-15 mph. Winds will stay around the same strength or even a little stronger Saturday.

Low pressure in the southern part of the country will move northward Saturday, and central Indiana will see clouds return and the chance for a few spotty showers. It won’t rain all day, but showers are possible on and off during the day.

It’s going to be a little more humid than Friday with highs climbing into the upper 70s or near 80.

Rain chances will continue into Sunday. It looks like Sunday may be the better day for rain. It’s going to be humid with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70s.

A cold front will swing through Indiana on Monday. The best chance for showers and even a few thunderstorms will be during the first half of the day. The rain will end by the afternoon and the clouds begin to clear out.

High pressure will build into central Indiana on Tuesday with cooler, less humid air. Look for lots of sunshine and highs in the middle 70s.

Much of next week looks to be a few degrees below normal. There’s a chance for a few showers Wednesday and Thursday. Dry conditions will return for the end of the workweek.
