Smith Valley Road reopens after gas line break

UPDATE: Police on Monday night announced that the intersection of Smith Valley Road and Hunting Creek Drive had reopened. 

GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — A gas line break has closed a Greenwood intersection as crews work to make repairs. 

Greenwood Police Department on Monday afternoon said the intersection of Smith Valley Road and Hunting Creek Drive, which leads into a group of homes, will likely be closed until Tuesday morning. 

No traffic will be allowed through until the repairs are completed, police said. 

Residents are asked to seek alternate routes. The neighborhood is accessible from Library Park Drive, which intersects with Smith Valley Road west of Hunting Creek Drive.
