South Bend’s mayor calls on Trump to resign
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WISH) — The mayor of South Bend is calling on President Donald Trump to resign.
South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, a possible challenger in the 2020 election, tweeted in response to President Trump’s comments in a press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Today, friends of mine are risking their lives to serve the US Intelligence Community, as I once did. For the US president to say they are no more credible than the hostile foreign dictator standing next to him is a national security disaster,” Buttigieg tweeted. “He must resign.”
Several members of Congress have also criticized Trump’s comments.
