Sunny but cooler days ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — As strong winds die down, chilly conditions stick for the beginning of the workweek.

Sunday night: The strong winds we’ve seen throughout the day will relax Sunday evening.

Skies will try to clear in the overnight hours, becoming partly cloudy.

Temperatures stay below freezing with a low of 27 degrees in the metro.

Monday: Sunny and cool conditions will kick off the workweek. You’ll need sunglasses during the day as skies stay mostly sunny.

Temperatures will only reach the mid 40s across central Indiana before dipping below freezing yet again for Monday night lows.

Eight-day Forecast: After a sunny and chilly start to the workweek, a big warmup heads this way. Temperatures climb well above normal with readings in the upper 60s, close to 70.  Along with the warmup, rain will be likely along with some gusty winds Thursday.

The warmer temperatures won’t last for long. Colder air moves back into the area for the end of the week and next weekend.
