Lance Stephenson signs 1-year deal with Lakers

(AP/WISH) — Lance Stephenson is joining LeBron James in Los Angeles.

Stephenson agreed to a deal with the Lakers on Sunday night, his agency, Priority Sports, announced on Twitter. That came just hours after James decided he would join the Lakers.

The two have traded testy moments in the playoffs when Stephenson’s Indiana teams faced James’ squads in both Miami and Cleveland.

On June 25, the Indiana Pacers declined Lance Stephenson’s $4.3 million player option for next year, which made him an unrestricted free agent.

Stephenson finished last season averaging more than 9 points per game and nearly 3 assists per contest. More importantly, the guard became a major spark off the bench for the Pacers.
