Thursday evening forecast

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We are tracking showers and storms for the rest of your Thursday and going into the weekend.

Thursday night:

Showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible with the potential for a strong storm as well. A Marginal Risk is in place through central Indiana for the threat of isolated large hail.

Lows will only fall into the low 50s for what will be a mild night.

Friday:

The active trend continues through your Friday with on and off showers and storms.

A Marginal Risk for severe weather is in place for all of the viewing area with isolated large hail as the main threat.

Highs stay in the mid 60s.

Saturday:

Showers and storm chances will progress into the first portion of the weekend with the possibility for a strong storm or two. A Slight Risk is in place for western Indiana for damaging wind gusts and hail. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

With the amount of rain we are set to receive through Saturday, flooding will become a serious concern with three day totals up to two to three inches by Saturday night.

Highs top out in the upper 60s to low 70s

8 Day Forecast:

Dry conditions finally settle in for Sunday and Monday as temperatures return to near normal in the mid 50s for this time of the year. Rain chances return as we close out March next Tuesday. Temperatures will continue to be near normal entering April next Wednesday with dry time.
