INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Pockets of sunshine are possible this Saturday. Snow chances return along with breezy conditions for your Sunday. 

TODAY: Areas of drizzle and patchy fog are popping up across parts of Indiana this morning. Any precipitation we see will be on the light side. Skies start out cloudy early on in the day. Rain and pockets of drizzle eventually move out late this morning. There may be a few breaks in the clouds Saturday afternoon to allow for some sunshine across the state. Temperatures climb into the upper 30s right around 40 which is a few degrees above normal for this time of the year. 

TONIGHT: If you’re heading to the Pacers game it will be dry. Clouds stick around through the evening hours. Temperatures drop into the 30s for much of the evening. Overnight temperatures fall into the lower 30s and many spots drop below freezing. 

SUNDAY: Look for a dreary day on Sunday with mostly cloudy skies. If you are heading to the Colts game, tailgating will be fine and dry, just mostly cloudy. A few snow showers or light scattered flurries are possible later into the afternoon and evening. It’s going to be a bit breezy during much of the day. Winds will be out of the west at 8 to 15 miles per hour with gusts near 20 miles per hour. Highs stay right around normal for this time of the year into the upper 30s. 

NEW YEAR’S EVE: A few spotty flurries are possible if you are out ringing in the new year. It will be breezy and chilly as temperatures fall into the upper 20s. 

MONDAY: New Year’s Day starts off quiet. Look for partly to mostly cloudy skies with temperatures climbing into the upper 30s near 40. 

8DAY FORECAST: Tuesday will bring partly cloudy skies with slightly above normal temperatures. A weak system moves through the area in the middle part of the week. This brings more clouds Wednesday with a slight chance of a few light rain or snow showers late Wednesday afternoon and evening. Temperatures drop back into the middle and upper 30s for the end of the week.
