Temperature rebound ahead

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — What a start to the fall season we had statewide. It was rainy, chilly, and windy throughout our Wednesday, which in turn made it feel like fall. We are tracking warmer temperatures as we head into the weekend.

Wednesday night: Showers will continue to hang around in parts of the state throughout the nighttime hours. Flooding concerns will also continue, especially for portions of northeastern Indiana.

We will work in a chilly night with lows dipping into the upper 40s.

Thursday: You will want to keep the rain jacket handy as scattered showers are possible through a good chunk of our Thursday. Activity will mainly stay north of interstate 70.

Expect another breezy day with slightly warmer temperatures. Highs will top out in the low to mid 60s.

Friday: After back-to-back below average days, we will turn towards near average temperatures to end the workweek. We will also dry out and bring in lots of sunshine. Enjoy a fantastic Friday overall with highs rising into the low to mid 70s.

8-Day Forecast: Rain chances look to briefly return Saturday morning before we stroll into dry weather for the weekend. Temperatures will be slightly below normal Saturday before we warm back towards the upper 70s by Monday. The above average temperature stretch looks to linger into part of next week.
