INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It’s going to stay warm and breezy for this Tuesday. Temperatures will be well above normal. Highs stay in the 70s throughout the workweek. Temperatures drop for next week. Windy and warm for tomorrow as well.

TODAY: We’re starting out much better than we were yesterday. Temperatures are about 10 to as much as 20 degrees warmer across parts of the state this morning. Sunny skies start off the day. Skies eventually become mostly cloudy as the day wears on. It stays dry but breezy at times. Winds will be out of the south and southwest and may gust 20 to 25 miles per hour. Highs today soar into the 70s. Normal high for this time of the year is 62. Highs climb into the middle and even upper 70s statewide.

TONIGHT: It’s going to be mild tonight. Under mostly cloudy skies temperatures will stay in the upper 50s near 60. The record low minimum or warmest low on record is 63 set all the way back in 1919. There is a chance for a few spotty showers north and west of Indianapolis late tonight.

WEDNESDAY: It still stays windy and warm Wednesday. Skies stay cloudy for much of the day Wednesday. There’s a chance we may see a few spotty showers. Best chance is north and west of the city. It will stay warm and breezy on Wednesday. Winds may gust once again into the 20 mile per hour range. Temperatures climb into the middle 70s. Temperatures stay into the 60s especially in the northern part of the state where we have more rain chances.

THURSDAY: Much of the day Thursday will stay dry. A stay shower is possible but temperatures stay once again in the 70s.

8DAY FORECAST: Temperatures stay in the 70s for the end of the week. A few spotty showers are possible late in the week. Better chance of rain arrives for the weekend. Temperatures drop into the 60s for highs this weekend. We finally see cooler temperatures next week. Overall highs staying in the 40s for Halloween.
