‘Gr8 Comeback’: Chef JJ’s offers ‘personal and unique’ downtown dining experience

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — If you’re planning on throwing a private party in downtown Indianapolis, Chef J.J. Boston says his place is one you should try. He says that’s because private events is what he’s known for.

“It’s all we do, so unlike a normal restaurant that’s open to the public every day and you can come in and out, we only do private events,” he said.

Boston says, especially right now, people are trying to get family and friends together and that makes Chef JJ’s the “perfect place for you.”

As a local downtown business owner, he spoke to the Gr8 Comeback‘s Randall Newsome about what it’s been like to get through the trials of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s been tough like everybody, but we’ve had great support from the community,” he said. ” We’ve had great support from our clients and we’re just looking to continue to offer a great product so these people can get together and enjoy each other’s time in a safe environment.”

Boston’s crew cooks unique dishes, like their stuffed pork tenderloin, on the “Big Green Eggs” which is a Kamado-style grill. Everything they serve is smoked, baked, roasted or barbecued and they also grow a lot of the food in house.

“We can do anything we want and we do, do anything we want,” he said. “That’s the great thing about being a private facility. All the menus are custom and we take care of all your dietary needs.”

You can make reservations with Chef JJ’s HERE. The business also offers grilling classes and a Go Kamado cookbook showing you how to prepare food like they do in your own home.
