Farm-to-Glass Cocktails with Alcomy Mobile Mixology

“Holly Berry”  Elixir

2 cups Pure Cane Sugar

3 cups Water

1 cup fresh Cranberries

3 tsp  Pure Vanilla Extract

1/2 tsp  Ground Cloves

1   Orange, whole, juice and peel

1/2 cup  fresh rosemary

Bring sugar and water to a boil, add rest of ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes.  Drain and store refrigerated, will last approximately 2 weeks and makes between 12-15 cocktails

“Holly Berry” cocktail

2 oz  Vodka

1 oz  Elixir

1/4 oz  fresh lemon juice

2 sprigs rosemary

Spank 1 sprig rosemary to release essential oils and aroma and drop into mixing shaker.  Add ice and rest of ingredients.  Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.  Strain into coupe or martini glass, and garnish with the other rosemary sprig and lemon twist.

“Old Fashioned”  Elxir

2 cups  Pure Cane Sugar

1 cup  Maple Syrup

5  cups Water

4 tsp  Pure Vanilla Extract

6-8  Cinnamon sticks

1/4 cup  Star Anise, whole

1/2 cup  Mulling spices

Bring sugar, syrup and water to a boil.  Add rest of ingredients and simmer for 45-60 minutes.  Drain and store refrigerated, will last 2-3 weeks.  Makes approximately 20 Old Fashioneds using 1 oz measurement.

“Smoked Old Fashioned”  Cocktail

3 oz  Bourbon

3/4 oz  Old Fashioned mix

2-3 dashes Angostura bitters

2-3 dashes  Orange bitters

Still all ingredients with ice for about 20 seconds.  Smoke an old fashioned or large rocks glass with cherry wood and dried herbs like rosemary or sage.  Strain the drink into the glass, and place a large square or sphere ice ball into the glass.  Garnish with an orange swath and amarena cherry.
