It’s all things modern and vintage decor for husband and wife business co-owners Andrea Sheafer and Andrew King of Sheafer and King Modern!

The Indianapolis-based shop was founded in 2018, but just recently, the duo has expanded their online platform to better serve YOU and your home decor needs! Here’s more.

What is midcentury modern:
 We have enjoyed serving as a resource for collectors and decorators seeking art, modern design and vintage decor from the 50s-80s and look forward to getting to know our clients and building a relationship based on providing great service, open communication, trust, and shared sensibilities.
 At its core, midcentury modern is all about strong shapes, clean lines, graphic arts and bright, and sometimes muted, pops of color. We specialize in curating treasures from the 1950s-1980s
 It’s important to remember that less is more. Subtlety and thoughtful craftsmanship are much of what makes midcentury style timeless.

Home décor:
 We want to help enthusiasts of midcentury modern design discover a few amazing pieces of art or objects that will be decorative focal points that will find a special place in their home.
 If you’ve been hoping to bring some vintage vibes to your home, we offer everything from a mix of large midcentury modern canvases to lithographs from abstract expressionists
 Before choosing contemporary artwork for your home, think about where you plan to place it. The layout and size of the room help you determine how big of a painting to display.

 Shoppers and collectors at Sheafer + King Modern will find works from Rinaldo Paluzzi, a well-known painter and sculptor with strong Hoosier ties, to abstract paintings by Carolyn Shine, a presence in the Cincinnati art world who exhibited her work during the late 1940s and early 1950s.
 Pieces at Sheafer + King Modern range in price from $50 to $10,000.
