Local baker raises money for animal rescues by selling cookies

One local baker is working to help animal rescues after raising thousands for kids.

This morning Patty Spitler, Pet Pals TV was joined by Jason Stahl, Caring Cookie Connoisseur to talk about his mission.

He calls himself the Cookie Monster.

But Jason Stahl is also a fixture on the Indiana musical scene. You might recognize him because he is a drummer for Jennie DeVoe!

After much thought, Jason decided, at this time in his life after weathering a few hardships, he wanted to give back, but how?

He and his Mom Laura Jo came up with an idea! Cookies!

Jason loves to cook and his mom is a kitchen magician, so they decided late last year to start promoting ‘Cookies for Kids’ and a portion of the proceeds would go to a children’s charity.

The cookie concept took off like a rocket and within a few months, Jason had raised over 20k for kids organizations!

Now, what’s next? Jason is a huge pet lover with a couple of rescue pups of his own and decided to try Cookies for Pets. Again, a portion of the proceeds would benefit a local pet rescue/shelter/organization.

Jason thought, ‘who can help me launch this Pet Project?’ and immediately called Patty on Pet Pals TV.

The two met, talked, ate some cookies and a deal was made!

The beneficiary of the first month’s sales will be given to IndyHumane, and they are thrilled.

Also, you can order the buttercream cookies and have them sent anywhere in the USA.

During these stressful times, it’s a fabulous way to show you care for our furry friends, plus the cookies are not only cute but doggone sweet!
