Can’t-Miss Halloween Fun

Halloween is more than just spooks and scares. It’s filled with fun for the kids and the entire family! Katy Mann, from Indy with Kids, has a huge list of family friendly Halloween events but since we can’t all visit every single one of them, she’s sharing a few extra special ones.

Katy asked her kids which events they want to attend and here are the five they’ve all agreed on — either because they have been favorites in the past or because the online description got them so excited!

Boo Bash in Fishers is tonight, 6:30-8:30pm at the Nickel Plate Amptheater. This all ages event has over 40 trick or treat stops + raffles and prizes. http://indywithkids.com/events/boo-bash-hosted-fishers-parks-recreation/

Friday and Saturday at Hubler Chevrolet is the free Child Safety and Pumpkin Event. There are free activities and shows for kids, face painters, bouce houses, clowns ballon artists and a rock climbing wall. There will be a ton of food and candy in the showroom plus kids can have their free child ID kit made while they are there. http://indywithkids.com/events/impd-child-safety-pumpkin-event/

The Halloween Moonlight Egg Hunt at Broad Ripple Park on October 28th is a top pick every year. Kids ages 4-9 will search for monster eggs by moonlight. The eggs have prizes and candy inside. Expect games, crafts and refreshments. Dress appropriately for the weather and activities and bring a flashlight. If you wear a costume, you get an extra special prize! The cost is $10 and pre-registration is required.

Trick your Trunk in Franklin on October 29th is a great community effort. Cars will line Main Street and kids will trick or treat from trunk to trunk and then everyone is invited to the historic Artcraft Theatre for a Halloween movie. http://indywithkids.com/events/trick-trunk-2/

The biggest event around seems to be the Safe Halloween event at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. This event is free, rain or shine. Expect to pay a $5 parking fee and there is a shuttle available from parking to the event. http://indywithkids.com/events/safe-night-halloween/
