Chocolate for everyone on your Valentine’s Day list
So it seems… not all chocolates are created equal! If you’re going to give chocolates to your loved one this Valentine’s Day, make sure they’re really something special! Julie Bolejack, Artisan Chocolatier at Chocolate for the Spirit, explains the difference!Interactive Dessert for Valentine’s Day – Chocolate Fondue
Recipe:
2 cups heavy cream (plus 1/3 cup extra if needed to thin chocolate in fondue pot)
1 pound semisweet chocolate – finely chopped
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
1 Tablespoon favorite liqueur (optional) Grand Marnier, Brandy, Amaretto suggested
Slowly melt chopped chocolate over double boiler Add cream to melted chocolate and stir till combined Stir in Vanilla and optional liqueur
Pour into fondue pot with flame on low – take care to not burn chocolate
Suggested items for dipping:
Fruits: Strawberries, Raspberries, Bananas, Pineapple, Orange Segments, Grapes, Cherries, Fresh Coconut Chunks (tip, make sure fruits are free of exterior moisture before dipping) Marshmallows Pound Cake, Banana Bread, Biscotti, Brownies, Cookies Pretzels, Potato Chips
