Freezin’ for a reason: Butler students take the plunge
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Students not only braved the cold Indiana air, but also a freezing pool of water, all to raise money.
Special Olympics Indiana once again held its Polar Plunge at Butler University.
To take the plunge, you had to raise at least $75. Students had to raise $50.
Then they jumped into a freezing pool of water, with costumes, lots of layers or sometimes, just a swimsuit.
Before the plunge, students took part in a costume contest. And most campus sororities and fraternities had a theme for their members to wear.
Special Olympics Indiana is holding 16 different Polar Plunges across the state this winter.
