Girl Scouts of C. Ind. now accepting credit, debit cards

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Girl Scouts of Central Indiana are one of the first Girl Scout councils in the country to accept credit card payments after partnering with MainSource Bank.

MainSource Bank said the partnership with Girl Scouts of Central Indiana makes it possible to equip 3,000 scout volunteers and mobile technology to enhance cookie purchases. They say the partnership has also taught girls about finances and marketing across the council’s 45 counties.

When customers visit Girl Scout Cookie booths in front of Marsh Supermarkets and other retail locations, they may now pay by credit or debit card.
