Easter Bunny parades through Greenwood neighborhood to kids on porches

GREENWOOD, Ind. (WISH) — The Easter Bunny made an appearance in Greenwood on Saturday afternoon, to bring a little holiday cheer to kids who can’t enjoy the normal Easter gatherings because of restrictions related to COVID-19.

A couple DJs put on a parade for children who got to view it from their front porches.

It was a mobile show with music, dancing and fun entertainment.

The Easter Bunny went through the Oaks neighborhood between Averitt and Smith Valley roads.

Mike Campbell, who is a DJ, says he set up the parade to bring joy in these tough times.

“We just wanted to celebrate Easter and bring a little cheer during these unprecedented times and do something for the kids, especially because kids are, this is a rough time for them, so not be able to go out and have Easter egg hunts,” Campbell said.

Children in the neighborhoods also took part in coloring eggs and doing individual hunts in their own yards.
