Muggy with scattered storms this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Spring weather has returned in a big way, with warm and muggy conditions, and on and off showers and storms possible through Monday.

Today:

Most of central Indiana is starting the day off dry. We’re keeping an eye on some areas of dense fog – especially north of I-70. Should see that fog lift by mid/late morning.

Much of the daytime hours should be dry. We may see a few isolated showers and storms sneak in from the south by late in the day. Highs top out in the middle to upper 70s.

Tonight:

More widespread showers and storms will fill in across the state late tonight into the overnight hours.

Lows fall to the middle 60s.

Sunday:

Cold front will march through the state, sparking showers and storms across the region. There is a marginal risk for severe storms across most of the state, with damaging winds and large hail the primary threats.

Highs top out in the middle 70s.

8 day forecast:

An upper level low will move across the Midwest starting Monday, bringing scattered showers to the area. Temperatures will also cool into the 60s for both Monday and Tuesday. Expect drier weather with a quick warm up for the second half of the week.
