Person burned to death trying to stay warm at Indy homeless camp
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person is dead after catching fire near IUPUI’s campus.
Police were called to a bridge near New York Street and Lime Street around 11 p.m.
Police say in a victim was found burned to death in a homeless camp under the bridge.
They believe the victim was trying to keep warm and the death was an accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
