Purdue police identify a suspect in Purdue sexual battery case
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Purdue police are investigating a sexual battery that allegedly occurred in Ford Dining Hall over the weekend.
A woman told officers a man followed her into the dining court around nine on Saturday. That’s when she said he approached her and when she told him to leave her alone, he grabbed and kissed her.
Purdue Police Chief John Cox says the woman’s descriptive information was enough to identify the suspect.
“We are in the process, I don’t know if we have made yet, but we are in the process of making contact with the alleged assailant to get his side of the story,” said Cox.
Once both sides are documented, it will be sent to the prosecutors office for review to determine whether charges will be filed.
