Routine traffic stop uncovers 13 pounds of marijuana

CLARK CO, Ind. (WISH) – 13 pounds of marijuana were found during a routine traffic stop Thursday evening.

A state trooper stopped 38-year-old Daren Ngo and during the stop suspected criminal activity.

A K-9 officer revealed the 13 pounds of marijuana near the rear of the vehicle.

According to the release, the marijuana was vacuum sealed in plastic bags. They were concealed in cardboard beer boxes.

Ngo was arrested and faces preliminary charges of dealing in marijuana over 10 pounds, possession of marijuana over 10 pounds and maintaining a common nuisance.

The value of the drugs is estimated at more than $13,0000.
