Taylor says cameras installed in home weren’t intended for recording minors
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The man accused of providing Jared Fogle with child pornography has responded to claims made in a suit against him.
Russell Taylor, along with Angela Taylor and Fogle, were named in a lawsuit filed in March by an underage victim. Taylor has filed a handwritten response to the lawsuit and filed it with the federal court.
The filing contains a handwritten note from Taylor, sent from prison in Florida:
I am a prisoner in the BOP and do not have any money at all. I have no lawyer for this so I am writing the answers out for you. I have no other way to respond. Also, there is nowhere in this paperwork an address I am supposed to use for the court. I am in prison with little help on looking things like this up – should it have been included?”
In the filing, Taylor has included handwritten annotations responding to each of the 46 claims made. Taylor denies many of the allegations and states that he does not know the answer to many other claims.
One of the claims states that Taylor used multiple hidden cameras in his residence with the intent of secretly filming minors. Taylor responded with “this is not the purpose I set the cameras up for.”
Taylor received a 27-year sentence in federal prison in December 2015. Fogle received 15 years the month prior.
