Rams Insider reveals special connection to team quarterback

Rarely do NFL reporters reveal their sources, but for Rams Insider Kevaney Martin, her favorite source for team information hits close to home.

On Big Game Bound: Live from Atlanta, Martin shared that Los Angeles Rams backup quarterback Sean Mannion is her cousin.

“We grew up together,” said Martin. “His grandmother and my dad are brother and sister.”

“He recently got married and we all went to his wedding.”

Martin is quick to point out that while Tom Brady and Jared Goff are being talked about for their connection to the Bay Area, Mannion grew up there as well.

“So there’s three quarterbacks in the Big Game [from the Bay Area],” said Martin. “Brian Hoyer, the backup quarterback for the Patriots is from Ohio so he ruins it!”
