Report: Colts will not re-sign Hasselbeck

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — It appears the Colts may be moving on from quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.

A few days after Chuck Pagano said he’d “love” to have the 40-year old backing up Andrew Luck next season, NFL.com is reporting the team will not sign the free agent when the market opens March 9.

Hasselbeck started eight games for the injured Luck this past season, winning the first four, but after suffering his own injuries, he lost three of the last four games he started.

The Colts already have Josh Freeman under contract, so he would become second string if Hasselbeck, who said he’d like to play again, does not return.
