Cooldown ahead with continuing rain chances

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We had a cloudy and humid Thursday across central Indiana.

Some areas picked up on showers during the afternoon hours.

Thursday night:

A few showers are possible for the evening commute. We will remain mainly cloudy throughout the night.

Another mild night is ahead as our low temperatures will dip into the low 70s.

Friday:

Keep the umbrella handy as several rounds of showers and storms are possible throughout our Friday. Isolated strong to severe storms are not out of the question Friday afternoon and evening.

A Slight Risk of severe weather is in place for the northern half of Indiana. Main threats are damaging winds and large hail. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled for southern Indiana from the remnants of Hurricane Laura.

We will have another warm and muggy day with highs topping out in the mid 80s.

Weekend:

The active weather pattern will continue into Saturday with numerous showers and storms possible. Sunday is looking like a picture perfect day with dry and comfortable conditions. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to low 80s throughout the weekend.

8 Day Forecast:

Rain and storm chances will return for Monday and look to continue through midweek next week. Below normal temperatures will also continue throughout the work week.
