Hot and humid through midweek
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — We kicked off the work week on a hot and humid note with breezy winds across central Indiana.
Monday night:
A stray shower or storm is not out of the question before sunset. Skies will mainly clear out, giving way to a warm night with lows only in the low 70s.
Tuesday:
Prepare for an uncomfortable Tuesday with heat index values likely in the mid to upper 90s. Isolated strong to severe storms cannot be ruled out north and east of Indianapolis with damaging winds as the main threat.
Highs top out in the low 90s.
Wednesday:
Another hot and humid day will be in store for our Wednesday. We will remain dry throughout the day with more cloud cover as highs top out in the low 90s.
8 Day Forecast:
Daily rain chances look to roll in starting Thursday and last into next Monday. A gradual cooling trend will work its way into the forecast through the weekend. Spotty storms are possible Saturday with lingering storm chances continuing through Sunday.
